Invited testers should install it only from this Twigged page. The hands-on version and operating-system matrix remains a private-beta gate before Warehouse submission.

Register and select the survey
Set an exact garden datum/+X from a known survey edge, or use quick first-bed alignment. Make each measured bed a named Group or Component and send that deliberate selection—not the whole model.

Brief and design with intelligence
Add an optional practical or arts-led brief, review the imported outline, then use the Planner and planting-bed designer with the project’s site evidence. SketchUp does not trigger paid AI work by itself.

Pull the planting into place
One scoped Pull returns every approved bed linked to this model as a single update. If any requested bed is unavailable, Twigged stops instead of widening the request to the whole garden.

Issue and update professionally
Create a counted plant key and revision-stamped CSV schedule, choose design colour or monochrome, and reconcile later revisions by identity. Unresolved work blocks issue; clean pulls keep the fast path.

Key and schedule
Refresh a movable in-model plant key and save a counted, formula-safe CSV with botanical names, specification, spacing, lifecycle, mature sizes and revision evidence. Unresolved work blocks issue.
Technical or expressive
Switch lightweight Twigged symbols between a restrained design palette and monochrome. Your mapped office components are never recoloured.
Install the beta
- Download the Twigged
.rbzpackage above. - In SketchUp, open Extensions → Extension Manager.
- Choose Install Extension and select the downloaded package.
- Open Extensions → Twigged → Link Twigged Account…
- Approve the short-lived connection in your browser, then return to SketchUp.
- Put each measured bed in its own clearly named Group or Component. Select that container, not a bare face; the selected entity is the bed's stable identity.
- For exact set-out, select a known near-horizontal survey Edge and choose Set Survey Datum and +X. Choose the garden lower-left endpoint and direction; the red marker shows +X.
- Name or tag nearby survey Groups/Components—especially trees, hedges, walls and buildings—so Twigged can classify their bounded context conservatively.
- Select the named bed, optionally add a planting brief, then choose Send Selected Bed to Twigged. If you skipped the datum, Twigged offers quick alignment from the first reference bed.
If that transfer is interrupted, save the offered JSON file. After reconnecting, use Send Saved Bed File to Twigged…; the extension checks the original editable project and warns if the file came from another SketchUp model.
Beta boundary
Version 0.5 exchanges near-horizontal planar beds. Exact registration uses one selected survey Edge; quick alignment remains available for simpler work. Verify the marker against a known datum. One model supports up to 50 linked bed scopes. Generated plants are lightweight plan/height proxies rather than a photorealistic model for every taxon; map office components where richer presentation is needed. Apply the designer's normal site, specification, regulatory and construction review.
