Twigged for SketchUp

The extension sends data only after you choose a Twigged command. A selected-site upload can include the selected face or group outline, internal cut-outs, measurement units, local coordinate frame, alignment anchors, north/datum information you have recorded, and bounded nearby visible context automatically gathered with that command. Context is limited to object extents, object names and SketchUp tag names; it is not a copy of the surrounding geometry.

Connected work also includes your chosen Twigged project ID, package revision IDs, stable managed-entity IDs, SketchUp version, model GUID and model name or file name (not its folder path), persistent entity/edit-path IDs, and supported model edits you deliberately submit for review. If you add an optional planting brief in the extension, that text is sent with the selected bed. Before a successful send, the draft exists only in the current extension dialog, is visibly marked as attached, and clears when the active model changes. Basic connection-security records include an expiring device session, token hashes, issue/expiry times and revocation state.

Twigged does not silently upload the whole .skp file, unrelated hidden geometry, full nearby object geometry, your other components, textures, scenes, LayOut documents, SketchUp password or Twigged password. Component mappings remain in the local model unless you explicitly include a supported change in a review submission.

Saving a plant schedule writes a CSV only to the local location you choose. The file includes project, revision and generation evidence for auditability. Refreshing the in-model plant key or switching Twigged-generated symbols between colour and monochrome does not make a network request.

Selected geometry is used to create a measured import preview, place an accepted bed into the linked Twigged project, produce a planting design at the correct scale, and reconcile managed planting back into the surveyed model. Submitted SketchUp edits are stored as a preview and are not applied to the Twigged project until an authorised project member accepts them.

If you subsequently start an AI design operation, the accepted geometry, optional brief and relevant project site evidence are processed under the same AI-provider and design-activity rules described in the main privacy policy. Connecting the extension by itself does not start an AI request.

Connections use HTTPS, short-lived access credentials and revocable device sessions. The professional beta keeps credentials in the running SketchUp process rather than writing a refresh credential to SketchUp's plain preferences. Closing SketchUp may therefore require you to reconnect.

You can disconnect from the extension, revoke a connected device from Twigged, reject an import or change preview, and delete the linked project or your account using Twigged's normal data controls. Rejected and expired security records may be retained briefly for abuse prevention, fault diagnosis and audit integrity.

The SketchUp survey remains authoritative. Twigged's managed container and design output do not certify survey accuracy, underground services, levels, soil, planning constraints, structural suitability or construction information. Review the returned planting and geometry using your normal professional process before issue.
